A tired and unloved period property was transformed by a thorough refurbishment and complete reallocation of space to hit the client brief of wanting a beautiful but cost-effective investment property that would lend itself to the surrounding young professional market who would be looking for affordable yet luxurious fully furnished lettings or house shares.

This single-family home had not been touched since the early 1980’s and was taken back to its bare bones to allow for a fresh start and full course of modernisation including rewiring, replumbing and the addition of a central heating system. Light structural work on the ground floor included removal of a structural wall and insertion of a steel beam to create a stunning open plan kitchen and living space. The damp and unused cellar was turned into a luxurious ensuite bathroom whilst the existing lower ground floor kitchen was removed and replaced with a bedroom. One of the existing bedrooms on the first floor was replaced with a sizeable family bathroom and a first-floor corridor was added to allow for the future addition of a loft conversion.
